Delivery is mainland UK.
Delivery will usually be within 5-10 working days depending on the product that has been ordered (i.e. excluding weekends and bank holidays). A signature will be required by the account holder unless pre arranged with a customer service advisor. Delivery dates are estimated at all times and may be delayed without prior notice, which is why we strongly advise all customers not to book fitters until they have received the relevant goods, as no claims will be accepted. Whilst we make every reasonable attempt to deliver promptly and within the estimated time frame, we cannot be held responsible for sudden stock shortages or manufacturing delays. Please note that we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in delivering goods.
To keep our prices as competitive as possible, items delivered by our own delivery drivers are only one man deliveries. We will only deliver to ground floor properties (unless a lift is available); this can include a maximum of 4 steps. Please call us if this affects your order as undelivered products caused by this problem will incur a redelivery charge. Certain products may be delivered up or down a flight of stairs at a premium of £29.99. Please call us to find out if the items you require can be delivered in this way. Whilst our own drivers are quite happy to wheel your product into an unobstructed room of your choice, we cannot be held responsible for any damage incurred.
Where a pre-arranged agreed day has been given for a delivery and that delivery fails due to there being no one at the address to sign for the goods then the customer may be liable to pay a £49.99 redelivery charge (or £99.99 for items over 70cm in width). This charge may also apply if you cancel a delivery after the goods have left our warehouse. If you wish to cancel your order after a failed delivery you may be required to pay a cancellation charge of £49.99 (or £99.99 for items over 70cm in width).
Redelivery or cancellation charges may also be charged in the event that a delivery fails due to parking restrictions or other access problems (e.g. stairs or narrow doorways) which you fail to notify our telesales operators of. By booking your own delivery date at the checkout you are agreeing that there are no such access or parking restrictions which we should be aware of.
Additional services which have been ordered but are then declined by the customer upon delivery are non-refundable, as we allocate space for these services on our delivery vehicles. This includes "Old Product Collection", "Unwrap and Remove Packaging" and "Two Man Delivery" services.
We endeavour to send all customers an expected 3-hour delivery timeslot via e-mail and mobile phone SMS message the day before delivery if they provide the necessary details. If you wish to opt out of receiving this SMS message, you may do so at the checkout when ordering online, or by notifying one of our telesales operators when placing an order over the phone. If you need to cancel a delivery you must let us know before 17:30 one working day before delivery.
Availability of goods
All orders placed are subject to availability, we can only guarantee availability whilst we have stock. If the product you ordered is not available from stock you will be contacted by e-mail or telephone as soon as possible, to arrange either another delivery date for when the product will be in stock or to cancel your order. A comparable product may be substituted in the event of the product being unavailable, pending your agreement.
Removal
As part of our delivery service we also provide an eco friendly removal of an old appliance for a fee of £16.99. When delivering your new appliance the drivers can take away the old appliance which will then be disposed of by us in an environmentally friendly manner. We also remove all the product packaging; again this is taken back to our warehouse and recycled - following the directive from the WEEE regulations.
With effect from July 2007, the UKs Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations encourages business and consumers to arrange collection and recycling of household electrical appliances. Electronic waste is one of the fastest growing waste streams increasing 5% per year, it has been estimated that landfill space in the UK will run out within the next 10 years.
To fulfil our obligations as a retailer, we have contributed to the Valpak WEEE Distributor Take Back Scheme www.valpak.co.uk.
If you wish to utilise our removal service for laundry, dishwashers, cookers, built-in and refrigeration products, simply click the box beside on the products detail page when placing your order.
. Laundry and dishwashers will only be removed if disconnected and free of excess water. Refrigeration items must be fully disconnected and defrosted. Cookers can only be removed if disconnected and externally clean in addition, built-in products must be removed from their housing units.
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide this service for range cookers, audio, computing products and small domestic appliances. We advise that you refrain from booking anyone to install your new appliance until you have received and inspected the goods.
Delivery without a signature
Unfortunately all our deliveries require a signature we can not leave products behind houses, in garages etc.
Damaged on delivery - Major Kitchen Appliances
It is very unlikely that we do deliver damaged goods - however due to the size and nature of our major kitchen appliances it is possible that the white boxes can get damaged. For this reason please ensure you unpack and inspect your product while the driver is still present. The drivers are instructed to do this, so if the service is not offered please remind them that you have paid for this. If for any reason you are not ready to unpack you product at the time of delivery we strongly recommend that you unpack, inspect and then repack.
*Please note you must inform us of any damage within 7 days of delivery, any damage reported after this date will not be accepted.
